Presentation day for season 2013
We would like to remind everyone that
the 2013 Presentation day is set for this Sat the 21st Sept at 2.00pm at
Davey Oval, Gloucester Ave. The High School car park will be open and
you are encouraged to utilise this facility if possible. Team
presentations will be commencing from 2.00 pm with "Bounce 'n Box" and
"Jumping Castle" for the kids with the club presentation commencing at
4.00 sharp on the grounds in front of the clubrooms. See you

Give Respect , Get Respect
May we
remind everyone (coaches, parents & friends) that you are representing
our club at every game and therefore the way you conduct yourself, on
these occasions, reflects on our club and on our children. Please
remember to respect Officials, Referees including Linesmen and
opposition coaches and players. Should you have an issue that needs to
be resolved please place your concern in writing and contact us.

Challenge Cup Semi Finals RESULT
Commiserations to the
U13s
who
fought a gallant battle with Munno Para, but who were defeated 4-0 in
the Sat game. Congratulations
to the U14s who
will
be playing in the FINAL on the 21st Sept after defeating Elizabeth Downs
5 - 3 in extra time during their game on Sun morning. This is the
first time since 1995 that a SEJSC team has reached the
finals.
Well done and good luck to the players and coaches.

atmosphere, and stay for our “Not The FA Cup Final” when some of our
talented juniors compete against each other to win the coveted “Not The
FA Cup” trophy.

Quiz / Trivia Night
Thank you to everyone who attended
the evening at the RSL on Sat 10th August and contributed to such a
great fundraiser. The evening raised $760 for the club due to the
dedicated "quizzers" and those who were able to obtain donated prizes.
The winners on the night were the Jets with the Knights a close 2nd place
and the Raptors placing 3rd.

Challenge Cup Semi Finals draw
Both
the U13s and
U14s will
be playing at TTG on the weekend of the 17th and 18th August in must win
games to determine the teams who play for the Cup in each of these age
groups in late September. If would be great if as many SEJSC people as
possible can find the time to attend one or both matches and cheer our
teams to victory. We haven't had teams get this far in the Challenge Cup
in the last 12 years and it would be great to see both teams win and
represent SEJSC at Playford in Sept.

U14s have won their respective games this weekend

round of the Challenge Cup. Commiserations

Challenge Cup while the Under 14s travel to the Barossa on the 23rd June
in their first outing in the Challenge Cup. Good luck to all
teams........All other teams have a bye that weekend except the Under 6
and 7s who will play games as already shown in your schedule. If you
have the spare time please come and support the 10s and 12s as they play
for a place in the 3rd round of the
Cup. |

Members wanted for Auxiliaries
This year we have two
auxiliary committees. (1) Fundraising – our aim is
to have a representative from each team on this auxiliary to assist in
planning events that will be suitable for all age groups. (2) Special
Events – This is our clubs 45th year & we want to celebrate
this with a couple of special events. If you think you would be able to
assist on either of these two auxiliaries please contact the

Great Start to season
Many of our teams have had a great start to the season this year. The
teams on the mini-pitch are showing the way with some great wins while
currently the Under 12 and Under 14 teams are sitting in 2nd place on
their respective tables. Keep up the great work everyone and good luck

Name our birds
Can you think of a name for the Ibis's that frequent
our park? There are often 3 of them at the oval during the day quietly
looking for insects. Maybe Larry, Mo & Curly .....or.....Kewell,
Cahill & Neill. Feed back your suggestions to the
Secretary. The competition closes on 31/5/2013
and is open to all members and players of SEJSC. The best answer will
be chosen by the Committee with the winner advised in early
June. |

Players Wanted
SEJSC are looking for players to form teams in the
following leagues for the 2013 playing season: Under
16 - players born in 1997 or 1998, Under 14 - players born
in 1999 or 2000, Under 13 - players born in 2000,
Under 12 - players born in 2001, Under 11 - players born
in 2002, Under 10 - players born in 2003, Under 9 - players born in
2004, Under 8 - players born in 2005,
Under 7 - players born in 2006 and Under 6 - players born
in 2007 or 2008. |
